Technical Localization Specialist – Amazonas – Pride Global

Technical Localization Consultant | Short-Term Contract (100% Remote – Brazil)

Fluent English required | 20h/week for 8 weeks

We're looking for an experienced Technical Localization Consultant to support a short-term, high-impact project focused on auditing and optimizing our end-to-end localization pipeline and Translation Management System (TMS).

This is a strategic, hands-on consulting role, ideal for someone who enjoys diving deep into systems, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing scalable, future-proof solutions.

Location: 100% Remote (Brazil)

Commitment: 20 hours/week for 8 weeks

Compensation: Highly competitive, paid according to the right match. We have no fixed salary range and are open to market-aligned expectations.

What you'll do

Pipeline Audit & Optimization

• Conduct a deep technical audit of the full localization pipeline (CMS, repositories, integrations, internal tools).
• Assess internationalization (i18n) practices across product architecture and codebases, identifying technical debt and risks.
• Interview stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Design, and Localization to map dependencies and pain points.
• Deliver an executive-ready audit report with clear findings, ROI analysis, and strategic recommendations (including potential TMS upgrades or changes).

TMS Evaluation & Recommendation

• Define technical and operational requirements for a new TMS alongside the Localization Manager.
• Technically evaluate and compare modern TMS platforms (POCs included).
• Recommend the best-fit TMS based on scalability, integrations, and implementation complexity.

What we're looking for

• 5–7+ years of experience as a Technical Localization Consultant, Localization Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in internationalization (i18n) best practices:
• Pseudo-localization, pluralization, RTL/BiDi text, date/time formats.
• High-volume content and non-product localization (marketing, support, legal, policy, etc.).
• Deep experience with modern cloud-based TMS platforms (e.g. Smartling, Phrase, Lokalise, XTM), including migrations.
• Solid technical background:
• API integrations (REST / GraphQL)
• Git & CI/CD pipelines
• Localization formats (JSON, XLIFF, Gettext, Android XML, iOS Strings)
• Python and/or Go
• LitElement familiarity is a plus
• Strong business acumen — able to translate technical findings into clear, ROI-driven recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
